As the headquarters of Morgan Properties, a family-owned company managing over 100 properties nationwide, this executive suite required lighting that balanced functionality with unique character.

For the workspace lighting, the Morgan Properties team, D2 Groups and Diversified Lighting collaborated to select surface-mount fixtures that would provide soft, bright illumination over the workstations. Positioned within the executive suite and owners’ offices, the goal was to create a space that felt both professional and personal, with a touch of artistic flair. Due to the drywall ceiling, minimizing shadowing was essential, leading them to choose the decorative Task S2 surface mounts in D61 MT White and D864 Walnut wood finish. The design’s distinctive regressed lens is both functional and stylish.

These luminaires enhance the space’s character, aligning beautifully with the owners’ unique artwork displayed throughout. Positioned along the corridor just beyond the reception desk, the surface mount lighting makes a bold first impression, spotlighting a niche-like area within the executive suite.

5405 Windward Parkway features colorful Custom Double Drum Pendant lighting ranging from 4.5’ to 9’ high pendants with a unique three ring armature. Lumetta’s Pendant Lighting Artfully Showers 10 South LaSalle Lobby

10 South LaSalle, a 502 ft. tall, 37-floor skyscraper is in the LaSalle Street financial district of Chicago, Illinois. The modern high rise, completed by Moriyama & Teshima Architects in 1989, is constructed of steel, glass, and concrete.

In front of the entrance, the newer structure is recessed behind an old building’s facade, forming a hollowed-out space where the contrasting old and new parts are visible together. It is considered a perfect example of “facadism” and is currently utilized for upscale business offices.

During a recent modernization and renovation, a wide variety of new amenities were added including a main lobby consisting of seating areas, café tables, billiards, and other luxury accommodations.

Lumetta was selected by Studio3 Design, Inc. to actualize the lighting renovation and illuminate the main lobby with stylish high-end lighting that would complement the shapes and colors within the lobby’s space.

The uniquely fabricated layout and design of pendants and the juxtaposition of the 48” Shadow Streamline Pendant with the billiards table were executed brilliantly. The size and shape of the luminaire and the double layer of shades complemented the table, while the choice of pendant colors overall were coordinated to integrate seamlessly into the interior design.

Also included in the lobby installation were Lumetta’s Cylinder Pendants in 20” and 27” that hang majestically throughout the environment, with 48” and 60“ Drum Pendants placed respectively within. A 6” x 23” Telescope Pendant and a 13” Chopstix Pendant also were installed within the lobby to the delight of the client.

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union Banks on Lumetta for Successfully Illuminating Their New Headquarters

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s headquarters in Waterford, CT recently constructed a $19 million complex in New London County. The recently completed  building replaces the headquarters’ previous location and includes a branch with drive-thru teller. The construction project is the largest expansion since the credit union’s founding in 1939.

Point One Architects of Old Lyme, and CLA Engineers, Inc. of Norwich were commissioned to provide architectural and engineering services for the 10-acre, 65,000-square-foot complex. The structure features large glass windows for extensive sunlight, as well as a distinctive architectural style, with a curved roof, brick-and-glass exterior, and an expansive, two-story atrium.

Lumetta was contracted to provide decorative commercial lighting, including a range of our Surface Mount Shadow Drums in D48 Spice, D921 Shadow Cool, D72 Glass Copper, and D11 Grass. Also designated in the installation were our Pendant Shadow Drums in D142 Almond, D864 Walnut, D48 Spice, D148 Mist, and Teal, in addition to our Pendant Shadow Cylinders in D921 Shadow Cool, and Shadow Table Lamps in D921 Shadow Cool and Teal.

The extensive range of Lumetta Shadow luminaires fitted for the project made for an impressive statement installation. Our Shadow Collection is one of the most requested lighting solutions and is favored for its juxtaposition of proprietary materials; translucent TransLumenate® shades layered over diffusing Lumenate® shades. The welded steel / aluminum construction and use of our washable and antimicrobial Lumenate® makes these luminaires aesthetically appealing and pragmatically functional.

Law Firm Wins Sizable Design Accolades for Selection of Lumetta’s Custom Designed and Manufactured Luminaires

A leading international law firm has been in the process of modernizing their office space nationwide. Their Seattle Washington location features more natural light, brighter modern finishes, and ergonomic furniture.

The prestigious law firm hired HYL Architecture and Specifier MCLA who worked with Potomac Lighting and installed many of Lumetta’s Custom Shadow luminaires, including our:

Custom Shadow Surface Mounted Boxes in sizes ranging from 192 x 36 x 10, 180 x 36 x 10, 132 x 36 x 10, and 96 x 36 x 10.

The firm also chose to utilize our Custom Shadow Surface Mount Drums in 84 x 10, and 72 x 10, as well as our Custom Shadow Box Pendant in 96 x 36 x 10. They additionally elected to install our industrial metal cage light—Reveal., aptly named for the open framework that flaunts the inner workings and filament bulb.

The installation of the many Lumetta Shadow Drum fixtures made for a beautiful visual symphony with their juxtaposition of translucent shades layered over our diffusing Lumenate® shades. The double layered shades create a vivid yet subtle lighting effect, while the Reveal. cage fixture offers soft bulb lighting that complements the stark metal framework and adds a rustic industrial flair–elevating the appeal of the surrounding space.

Opened in October 2020 on the Rochester General Hospital campus, the Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care is a 7-story, 312,000-square-foot structure that is home to visionary innovation with breakthrough technology and equipment. It’s brought to life by exceptional care teams who are trained in providing the highest level of care for those who need it most.

With a new surgical care center, women’s health and newborn care suites focused on helping families grow and 36 private patient rooms per floor in their medical, surgical and oncology care areas, they’re enhancing lives and preserving health in a place built for the future of healthcare as well as their community.

The design team collaborated on the conception of the interior décor and lighting options for the four new family lounges, and Architect Clark Patterson Lee Rochester specified Lumetta’s highly regarded 23” surface mounted drum pendants. The luminaires were chosen in direct response to Lumetta’s reputation within the lighting industry as well as the pendant’s proficiency in dispersing up and down lighting delicately and exquisitely, enveloping the surroundings in a warm and peaceful atmosphere.

By utilizing Lumetta’s clean-lined drum pendants, fashioned from our proprietary antimicrobial Lumenate®, the designers were able to play up the soft amber hue and create the perfect addition to blanket the space. The execution of the project allowed for a calm ambient light setting that met the comfort of patients and their families.

Lighting Specifier California Lighting Sales paired with Lighting Designer Wolcott IA and contracted Lumetta to design and manufacture sound absorbing light fixtures for their residential space.

Pulse Design Group is recognized for designing cutting-edge buildings, interiors and locations and wanted to showcase their own innovative designs to their clients.

When the agency recently moved into their new 10,000-SF headquarters, located on the tenth floor of the 46 Penn Centre building, in Kansas City, MO, their team custom-designed the space featuring an open floor plan and plenty of space to safely collaborate and accommodate staff growth.

The finished product is a welcoming environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and creativity – the perfect stage for a team of healthcare forward-thinking architects, interior designers, medical equipment planners and virtual reality developers.

As PDG is in demand for their contribution to state-of-the-art architectural design, it was essential to incorporate the agency’s innovation into all their projects. This included revealing the latest design and technology in the office’s lighting solutions.

Mercer Zimmerman specified Lumetta’s Custom L2 Drum Pendant for PDG’s new office waiting area. Because the agency’s sole focus and passion is on healthcare projects, Lumetta’s luminaires were chosen to highlight the space. Lumetta’s exclusive Lumenate® shades are antimicrobial and can easily be wiped down and cleaned–exactly the type of fixture that would be specified for healthcare facilities.
