The St. Joe County Public Library’s Centre Branch has been completely reimagined as a modern community destination that celebrates learning, creativity, and connection. Thoughtfully designed library lighting brings warmth and clarity to every corner of the space, while strategic lighting for libraries ensures an ideal balance of illumination for reading, collaboration, and events. The renovated interior now features open sightlines, flexible study rooms, and larger meeting spaces that adapt seamlessly to a variety of programs and uses.

At the heart of the design, Lumetta’s 48″ surface mount drum and modified 60″ drum pendant fixtures highlight the vaulted ceilings, accentuating the architectural form while creating an inviting, evenly lit environment for patrons. The exterior upgrades—including new windows, refreshed façades, and enhanced landscaping—extend the welcoming atmosphere outdoors. A newly designed, nature-inspired play area encourages families to connect with the library’s mission in fresh and engaging ways.

In collaboration with Dave Baker Agency and MKM Design and Architecture, Lumetta developed a library lighting solution that blends form and function beautifully. The result is a space that exemplifies exceptional lighting for libraries in a vibrant, flexible environment where visitors can read, learn, and gather under thoughtfully crafted ceiling mount lights that make the library truly shine.

Located within Nordstrom’s New York City flagship store at 57th & Broadway, Bistro Verde exemplifies the seamless integration of retail lighting design and lighting for hotels and restaurants. The lighting concept enhances the refined yet approachable atmosphere, supporting both the culinary presentation and the guest experience. 

At the heart of the design are 24 standard 48” Drum pendants, each crafted with Cortica White Diffusing Lumenate^® diffusers that emulate the natural texture and tonal warmth of cork. The fixtures are finished in a white powder coat with matching canopies, providing a cohesive, architectural look that complements the restaurant’s clean, modern aesthetic. 

The Drums are arranged in a recessed rectangular ceiling feature in eight rows of three, creating a rhythmic pattern that defines the main seating area. This configuration not only establishes a focal design element but also delivers uniform ambient illumination, balancing brightness, and visual comfort throughout the bistro’s space. 

The café lighting design contributes to a welcoming and elevated dining environment—soft, diffuse, and human-centric. The interplay of materials, scale, and light supports Nordstrom’s design ethos of understated luxury and attention to detail.

Lumetta was honored to provide Government Lighting Solutions for the renovation of Pelham City Hall, a historic Alabama landmark reimagined for today’s civic needs. Originally a WPA-built schoolhouse, the site evolved over decades—serving as a library, fire station, and municipal jail—before its full redesign by CMH Architects.

An essential part of the new identity came through the lighting. Partnering with Lighting Solutions of Alabama, the city hall was outfitted with 13 custom mid century inspired modern designer lighting by Lumetta, designed to enhance both aesthetics and performance. These eye-catching luminaires range in size from 26” to 39” in diameter, providing a strong visual impact while maintaining a harmonious scale with the building’s open interior spaces. government lighting

Crafted with precision and creativity, each pendant is finished in a vibrant, contemporary palette featuring Grey, Lime Green, and Caribbean Blue Lumenate® diffusers that add personality, movement, and a sense of place to the space. The pendants for government lighting were engineered with a powder-coated white aluminum frame, a white acrylic top lens for even ambient glow, and an etched white acrylic bottom lens to minimize glare while diffusing light evenly throughout the room.

These fixtures do more than light the space—they help define it. Positioned strategically in public areas, the pendants serve as sculptural focal points that reinforce the modern architectural language of the renovation. Their bold yet approachable design mirrors Pelham City Hall’s renewed mission: to be a bright, welcoming hub for its citizens, one where Government LED lighting enhances both function and form.

As the headquarters of Morgan Properties, a family-owned company managing over 100 properties nationwide, this executive suite required lighting that balanced functionality with unique character.

For the workspace lighting, the Morgan Properties team, D2 Groups and Diversified Lighting collaborated to select surface-mount fixtures that would provide soft, bright illumination over the workstations. Positioned within the executive suite and owners’ offices, the goal was to create a space that felt both professional and personal, with a touch of artistic flair. Due to the drywall ceiling, minimizing shadowing was essential, leading them to choose the decorative Task S2 surface mounts in D61 MT White and D864 Walnut wood finish. The design’s distinctive regressed lens is both functional and stylish.

These luminaires enhance the space’s character, aligning beautifully with the owners’ unique artwork displayed throughout. Positioned along the corridor just beyond the reception desk, the surface mount lighting makes a bold first impression, spotlighting a niche-like area within the executive suite.

Lumetta collaborated with Design Build to create custom Acoustic Box pendant lighting for the newly built Wood Building, a 49,000-square-foot engineering classroom located on the Johnston Community College main campus in Smithfield, North Carolina.

Installed in the building’s lobby, these 48” x 48” x 12” luminaires feature our Linear Acoustic shades in D819 AC Pepper. The geometric design complements the architectural style, harmonizing beautifully with the grid-like windows to enhance the space’s modern aesthetic.

The glowing pendant lights beautifully contrast with the moody atmosphere, creating a stunning ambiance. Foon Lok West, or in Cantonese “Joyous Community” is a stylish, modern residence nestled in the Brooklyn Basin neighborhood of Oakland. This six-story development boasts 130 affordable family apartments with stunning waterfront views. Residents are enveloped in custom artwork, vibrant murals, and have easy access to the lively surrounding community. 

HKIT Architects selected Lumetta’s L2 commercial acoustical lighting to enhance the entranceway’s ambiance, beautifully complementing the vibrant mural while effectively controlling noise levels from foot traffic. 

Made from recycled PET board fiber felt, the L2 acoustic lights complement and enhance the building’s overall design while delivering acoustic comfort, seamlessly blending style with sound absorption. 

Aiming for LEED Certification, this unique project integrates a wide range of sustainable features. Recycled materials, energy- and water-efficient appliances, photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, and drought-tolerant landscaping were all part of the development of this project This commitment to sustainability and positive living enhances the overall environmental and social impact of the development.

Horace Mann Hall, home to the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development at Rhode Island College, was recently renovated to provide a more functional and inviting space for students and staff.

The renovation included a wing featuring six classrooms and three seminar rooms; bright and spacious student common areas; a three-story addition for offices; new roof, elevator and windows; and electrical, plumbing and network technology upgrades.

A combination of the dichroic film applied to the windows and Lumetta’s Modified Shadow Drum 48” Pendants with TransLumenate®, D920 Trans Warm, and Lumenate® D76 Amber shades create a prismatic look to the space.

Lumetta’s Lighting Brightens Freedom House Alzheimer’s Care

LWDA Design Architects, a firm specializing in Architecture and Interior Design for healthcare, rehabilitation, senior living, and care, recently completed a sizeable renovation of the Blue Skies Texas Freedom House Alzheimer’s Care.

The San Antonio assisted living memory care residence is home to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The redesign included the neighborhood commons, activity room, living and dining areas, lobby, chapel, and kitchens.

LWDA is known for taking on architectural projects that improve the quality of life at every level in local communities. The design agency set out to create an atmosphere that would allow for better sleeping as well as the lessening of negative behaviors that are many times associated with Dementia.

Lumetta’s luminaires were the preferred choice for a lighting solution to illuminate the areas. The fixtures were equipped to harness BIOS circadian lighting. BIOS, also utilized by NASA, infuses a blue lighting which mimics the temperature and intensity of sunlight and aids in the optimization of circadian rhythm, allowing people to be more alert and productive during the day. During the evening, the blue light ceases and as a result triggers the body to create melatonin, preparing the body for sleep.
