For Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, TX, ESa (Earl Swensson Associates)  drew inspiration from both the colonial missions of old and the San Antonio River.  A neutral color palette created a calming, timeless design aesthetic, with the artwork providing color.

Designing for LEED Gold certification, the lighting intent was key.  Natural light permeates the interiors of this 110-bed acute care hospital in the public areas, patient rooms, operating rooms, PACU, and ends of patient corridors.

Every space supports this intent. In the dining area, the choice of Lumetta’s Shadow Box pendant complements, providing a sophisticated light and airy balance within the interior space.  These box pendants  provide a comfortable level of illumination to enhance the dining area. The TransLumenate® diffuser projects a soft ambient light that augments the natural light and matches the color theme with its inner Lumenate® shade.

Shadow Cube 17” Pendant P2094, a cube version of this custom luminaire, can be found under the Shadow Collection. Made of  welded steel and aluminum with a washable exterior TransLumenate®  and a washable core Lumenate®.

Sagewood Senior Living Community is a resort-style luxury senior living facility, nestled in the heart of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale. Known for its contemporary, southwestern aesthetic, the community provides an inviting and comfortable environment for its residents. The design team at Spellman Brady & Company, renowned for their expertise in lighting for Senior Living Communities, sought to enhance the space with an oversized lighting feature that would reflect the area’s natural beauty while staying true to the community’s architectural style.

To achieve this, the team worked closely with Lumetta, a leader in commercial modern lighting and commercial pendant lighting manufacturers, to create the perfect lighting solution for the lobby space. The goal was to find a fixture that would complement the sophisticated yet casual atmosphere of the community while providing optimal illumination. 

After narrowing down the design options, the team selected the Custom Studio Drum Pendants with an Imperial decorative metal pattern. The geometric lattice design of the fixture, combined with a warm bronze finish, was the ideal choice for the space. With their large scale, these pendants created a striking visual impact, perfectly suited for the expansive double-height rotunda of the lecture hall lobby. 

Each pendant measured 23” OD x 44” OH, featuring a decorative laser cut metal frame wrapped around Lumenate® from the Fiber design palette in an Powder Coat Bronze finish. The large dimensions of the pendants ensured that they provided the right amount of light to fill the space, offering both beauty and functionality. Installing four of these pendants helped to create a well-lit, welcoming atmosphere in the lobby area. 

As envisioned by the design team, these luminaires not only provided the perfect lighting but also enhanced the room’s character, fulfilling all of the design goals for the space. This project was successfully executed with the expertise of Saint Louis Lighting Group, the preferred agency for this remarkable senior living community project.

This lively communal game room at SNHU Hampton & Windsor Hall benefits from a combination of L2 pendants PT3225L2 shown in an outer shade of D148 Mist plus D57 Apple for the inner shade, and 48” Streamline pendants in D148 Mist.  Shades used are from the Lumenate® Weave and Fresh choices.

Isle of Capri Casino Ups the Ante with Lumetta’s Lighting for Their Parking Garage

Caesars’ affiliate Isle of Capri Casino Hotel located in Black Hawk, CO wanted a modern ceiling mounted luminaire that would illuminate their parking facilities and be visually stimulating.

While the upscale casino was working with specifier, Randy Burkett Lighting Design, it was decided that the lighting source for the large parking garage would benefit functionally and aesthetically with custom geometric lighting to dramatically enhance the space.

It was exciting to watch the project come to fruition as Lumetta created a completely custom-tailored multilateral ceiling mounted fixture with 17’ x 17’ dimensions. (Shown here with D74 GLS Blue Lumenate diffuser.)

Lumetta Luminaires Contribute to the Urban Architecture of Gables Tanglewood

Gables Tanglewood, in Houston, Texas, is known for its beautifully designed social spaces including a spectacular rooftop pool, terrace with a club room and outdoor living room overlooking the Galleria and Uptown Houston, shaded cabanas and grilling kitchens. The residents enjoy relaxing, socializing and taking in the views.

The residential/retail complex hired Ziegler Cooper Architects, known for their urban residential living design, to create an upscale mixed-use development located in the prestigious Tanglewood area. The design carefully integrated a detailed brick and masonry facade, acknowledging the soft pastel color palette of the surrounding Mediterranean heritage of Tanglewood.

When specifying lighting for the residential complex, ZCA designated Lumetta’s 5’ tall Cone Pendants to illuminate the luxurious multipurpose development. The luminaires were chosen for their unique adaptation on the traditional cone style and were handcrafted with our F2 Chrome finish and our antimicrobial Custom Wood Lumenate® diffusers.

Preakness Hills Country Club Scores a Hole in One with Lumetta’s Double Drum Light Pendants

Preakness Hills Country Club, founded in 1926, is a member owned premier private country club featuring an 18-hole championship golf course, game practice area and driving range.

Located in the section of Wayne, NJ of the same name, which is derived from the thoroughbred racehorse after whom the middle jewel of the Triple Crown is named.

The house itself is styled as a gracious country manor favored by New York stockbrokers and bankers after World War I. Its spacious center hall has a beautifully crafted grand staircase illuminated by a large dome of Tiffany glass. Throughout its remodeling, the club has kept most of the opulent original features.

Preakness Hills Country Club’s recent renovations included contracting Judd Brown Design to redesign their 19th Hole Lounge—an intimate and accommodating space offering the perfect opportunity for members to gather for cocktails and conversation.

JBD specified Lumetta’s Custom Imperial Double Drum light pendant with custom linen Lumenate® diffusers, which greatly enhanced the classic ambiance at the Country Club.

The luminaires are as much works of art as lighting fixtures, illuminating the club in a classic yet contemporary manner.

Raritan Valley Country Club Passionate About Lumetta’s Custom Box Pendant Lights and Sconces

After a major renovation to the facility, Raritan Valley Country Club members enjoy an expanded clubhouse building.

RVCC contracted with architectural firm Judd Brown Designs in Pawtucket, RI to execute the design and expansion of the clubhouse from 25,000 to 32,000 square feet, creating essential space for dining and special events.

The renovation increased Raritan Valley CC’s casual dining and bar area accommodations and allowed the club to embrace the emerging trends of their younger members.

“The architecture of the existing building necessitated a complete overhaul and return to the design elements that were architecturally more consistent with the shapes, volumes and forms of the building’s shell,” states the project summary.

JBD wanted a lighting solution that would mirror the Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architectural renovation. The firm specified Lumetta’s Custom Box Pendants and Sconces with decorative metal design elements and washable, antimicrobial Lumenate® diffusers.

The classic, clean-lined luminaires immediately enhanced the luxurious and timeless country club’s atmosphere. The light reflecting off the ceiling and dispersing softly throughout the space created a dramatic but comfortable mood to the environment.
