Perkins Eastman Architects specified Lumetta’s 27” Shadow Cylinder Pendant lights with a color combination of D923 Shadow Opal and D62 MT Amber diffusers for these cluster installations at the University of North Carolina.

Our shadow light collection is very popular and frequently specified for installations, as the double layers of Lumenate® and TransLumenate® shades are recognized for creating vivid, yet subtle lighting.

This state-of-the-art lighting combines the energy efficiency of LED lighting with modern design. Lamping is available with LED, incandescent, or fluorescent bulbs.

Lumetta’s Custom Shadow Drums and Custom Shadow Box Sconces were chosen to be installed in the Lincoln Field, Brown University Geological Sciences Department at Brown University, in Providence, RI.

By retaining the old wood paneling in their thesis delivery and conference room, adding Lumetta’s striking luminaires, and making sure to create space for the plethora of planetary paraphernalia near and dear, Kelly Taylor Interior Design modernized the offices and labs for the department.

In the end, a little bit of old and a lot of new became a great metaphor for what these scientists do every day.

Saint Joseph’s University Utilizes Lumetta’s Custom Ring Pendants for Their Wow-Factor

Saint Joseph’s University’s Maguire Campus, in Philadelphia, PA worked with specifier Metro Architects, of Narberth, PA, and contracted with Lumetta to create their Custom Ring Pendants for Cardinal John P. Foley Campus Center. The adaptive reuse of the space included these incredible luminaires, which ranged in diameter from six to twenty feet and were installed in the auditorium when the 5,000 square foot campus was redesigned.

The Cardinal John P. Foley Campus Center hosts guest speakers, large group presentations, and community gatherings. The Foley Center was part of the original campus for Episcopal Academy, which was acquired by Saint Joseph’s in 2008 and expanded its footprint by 43 acres. It is also the location of Greek Life events for our three fraternities and six sororities on campus.

As always, all Lumetta’s luminaires are made in the USA by our hard-working men and women at our Warwick, RI manufacturing facility.

A Non-Profit Benefits from Lumetta’s Warm Lighting Solutions

Children’s Institute – CII, in Los Angeles, CA is a non-profit agency dedicated to strengthening individual, family, and community capacity for healing, wellness, and success.

The agency offers-quality early education and youth programs, counseling services, parenting support, workforce and community leadership development, and advocacy for community investment.

It was important to the institute to create a safe and welcoming environment for the community. The light fixtures would be the focal point of the space and therefore it was decided that Lumetta would be specified as the lighting vendor for the project.

Horton Lees Brogden Lighting Design selected Lumetta’s Custom Box Surface Mounts with recessed bottom diffusers to bolster the warm and safe atmosphere for the gathering families. Multiple fixtures were fabricated to create a sense of unified sanctuary.

The installation of the cheerful lights introduced a homey feeling within the environment and complemented the agency’s vision for refuge.

The UMASS Lowell Café was designed to reflect the rich textile and industrial heritage of the surrounding city. The color scheme and materials used for the building’s interior are tied to the building’s exterior and features warm hues and textures reminiscent of brick and wood. The design pays tribute to the storied Lawrence Mills and historic warehouses that lay within the adjacent city district.

The design firm ADD Inc., chose Lumetta’s Custom Streamline Surface Mount lighting with D12 Grain for this application. The lights were modified to be semi-recessed and accommodate the special ceiling. The fixtures also included LED lighting to provide a lower environmental footprint. When integrated into the café, Lumetta’s lighting solution enhanced the building’s use of Green features and sustainable design.

Collin College Desired a Certain Type of Lighting: Lumetta Luminaires Met Their Criteria to the Letter

Collin College in Preston Ridge, TX, is a student and community-centered institution committed to developing skills, strengthening character, and challenging the intellect. Their Frisco Campus is a traditional college campus with a central quad surrounded by classroom buildings and a grand library. The campus serves over 8,000 students and offers programs and amenities that encourage exploration, collaboration and critical thinking.

The university hired award-winning agency PBK Architects noted for their sustainable architectural solutions for higher education design, who in turn contracted Lumetta to fabricate and install bold and brilliant type-centric Custom Drum and Cylinder Pendants with Custom Lumenate® diffusers. These imposing luminaires’ sizes range from four to eleven feet in height and make for a striking illumination within the halls of the campus.
